uShine 特殊教育需要服務隊
Hey everyone, it’s us again — uShine!
Have you ever noticed how people with hearing impairments communicate? Some have mild hearing loss, while others can’t hear at all. In noisy environments, it can be especially difficult for them to hear others speaking—some cases are temporary, while others involve permanent hearing loss. Besides lip-reading, “sign language” is a key part of their daily communication!
This time, uShine is partnering with SLCO Community Resources to co-host the workshop “A symphony of hands: Listening to the silent world,” and we sincerely invite you to join us! Guided by experienced instructors with hearing impairments, you’ll have the chance to:
- Learn practical sign language and Deaf culture
- Master basic communication techniques for interacting with people with hearing impairments
- Clarify common misconceptions and myths
The workshop also features interactive sign language practice and fun communication games, allowing you to experience the beauty of sign language up close. You’ll gain a new perspective from the Deaf community and help create a respectful and inclusive environment for all.
Come open your hands and listen to the powerful voices within this silent world—let’s work together to build a kind and diverse campus!
