“Shall We Talk” is a mental health promotion and public education initiative launched by the Advisory Committee on Mental Health since July 2020.
- To step up public engagement in promoting mental well-being
- To enhance public awareness of mental health with a view to encouraging help-seeking and early intervention
- To reduce stigma towards people with mental health needs
“Talk with the Flow” 2024-25 is around the corner. Supported by Shall We Talk, a mobile kiosk, “Lift-You-Up Cart ” will be located at Cultural Square from 7 to 11 April to serve as an information desk, distribute free “EMO Treasure Kits” and “No More Moody Bottles”, and manage Pop-up Activity – The Sound of Water for all current CUHK students. There are many activities will be conducted, such as “Mind Bath Classroom” – Workshops and “From the Other Side of the Emotional Ocean” – Talks & Sharing Sessions: Ben Sir & Dr. Sarah Luk. Mind Bath Classroom – Shine Carving
Sculpting offers us a beautiful outlet to tap into our creativity, providing a unique chance to find peace and tranquility in our busy lives. Light sculptures, in particular, possess a magical quality; when crafted with care and positioned just right in sunlight, they create intricate patterns reminiscent of stunning stained glass. These works of art can bring a sense of calm and joy to our spirits, allowing us to appreciate the beauty around us.

“From the Other Side of the Emotional Ocean” – Talks & Sharing Sessions: Ben Sir & Dr. Sarah Luk – Life’s Choices • A Dialogue with Loneliness
Every day, we navigate life’s choices, both big and small, through a process of weighing and deciding. While support and encouragement are undoubtedly important, loneliness and solitude often seem inevitable in the pursuit of personal dreams and goals. After all, carving out our own path requires us to take each step on our own.
Linguist Ben Sir and educational psychologist Dr. Sarah Luk will come together to explore the themes of life choices and loneliness, delving into how to confront inner struggles, discover personal aspirations, and strive for personal growth. They will engage in a heartfelt conversation about the journey of making life decisions and chasing dreams, sharing their insights and experiences along the way.

Mind Bath Classroom – Gong Bath
The Gong Bath primarily achieves a relaxation effect through the sound waves produced by gongs. During the process, participants can lie down and naturally focus to listen to the gong sound. Through sound vibrations, tension is released on a physical level, resulting in deep relaxation, a calm mind, and the release of stress.

Mind Bath Classroom – Silent Disco Yoga & Meditation
Join us for an uplifting and relaxing experience with our silent disco yoga class. Immerse yourself in a vinyasa-style practice that will take you on a unique journey through breath, movement, and music.
During the class, you’ll be provided with wireless, illuminated disco headsets. The carefully selected music and the teacher’s instructions will be heard exclusively through these headsets, allowing you to fully disconnect from the outside world and focus on your practice. The class will conclude with a short guided meditation, leaving you feeling deeply relaxed and centered. Escape the noise of the day and enjoy this one-of-a-kind silent disco yoga experience. All levels welcome.
