What does loneliness look like to you?   

It could be a quiet moment between classes, a familiar corner of campus seen from a different perspective, or simply time spent alone with your thoughts.  

As part of (Un)Seen | Our Moments with Loneliness, we invite CUHK students to capture and share their own interpretation of the Shape of Loneliness through photography. 💚

Show us a moment, place, or scene on campus that reflects loneliness, solitude, reflection, or simply being with yourself. ✨ We look forward to seeing CUHK through your lens and discovering the many shapes of loneliness. 

👥 Who Can Join?  

Participants must: 

• Be a current full-time CUHK student. 

• Follow @sunshineatcuhk_osa_wacc on Instagram. 

• Participate using their personal Instagram account. 

• Submit only one (1) entry during the campaign period. 

• Submit an original photograph taken by themselves. 

• Comply with all campaign requirements and terms and conditions 

📍 Get Your Campaign Frame 

Collect the official #ShapeOfLoneliness campaign frame at: 

WACC Counter
2/F, Pommerenke Student Centre 

Collection Period:
16 September to 8 October 2026 

(First come, first served while stocks last) 

How to Participate   

• Collect the designated #ShapeOfLoneliness campaign frame during the Frame Collection Period  

• Take a photo within CUHK campus using the designated campaign frame that reflects the campaign theme  

• Upload the photograph as an Instagram Story during the Challenge Period. 

• The Story must: 

• Include the hashtag #ShapeOfLoneliness, #UnSeen and #Ourmomentswithloneliness 

• Tag @sunshineatcuhk_osa_wacc 

• Remain visible for at least 24 hours 

• Take a screenshot of the Instagram Story and send it via Instagram Direct Message (DM) to @sunshineatcuhk_osa_wacc before the Story expires. 

• Retain the original image and Story screenshot until the winner verification process is completed.

Judging Criteria

Awarded to the first eligible verified submission received via DM at or after 9:00 a.m. on each designated award day: 

• 2 October 

• 5 October 

• 6 October 

• 7 October 

• 8 October 2026 

🌟 Merit Awards (50 Winners) Coffee Coupon (Prize Value: HK$100 each)  

Awarded to the next ten eligible verified submissions following the Daily Award winner, ranked by DM submission time on the same day. 

Selected submissions may also be featured in: 

• WACC exhibitions 

• Sunshine at CUHK social media platforms 

• University communication channels 

• Future mental wellness campaigns and promotional materials 

📢 Winner Announcement 

Winners and price redemption details will be notified through Instagram Direct Message on or after 19 October 2026 and announced via WACC’s communication channels. 

Terms and Conditions 

Intellectual Property and Consent 

• All submissions must be original works created by the participant. 

• Participants are responsible for obtaining all necessary consents from any identifiable individual appearing in submitted content. 

• Participants warrant that their submissions do not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights of any third party. 

Promotion Usage Rights 

• By participating, participants grant WACC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, publish, display, adapt, and distribute the submitted materials for promotional, educational, publicity, reporting, and campaign-related purposes. 

Disqualification 

WACC reserves the right to remove or disqualify any entry that: 

• Contains offensive, unlawful, discriminatory, defamatory, or inappropriate content; 

• Violates the rights of any third party; 

• Contains misleading or false information; 

• Involves fraud, multiple-account participation, or unfair practices. 

General Conditions 

• Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash. 

• WACC reserves the right to amend campaign arrangements, rules, prizes, and schedules where necessary. 

• In case of any dispute, WACC reserves the right of final interpretation and decision.
