Policy

In protection of the privacy in relation to personal data, Wellness and Counselling Centre ( ‘WACC’ ) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong as a data user is committed to complying with the requirements of Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and the University’s Policy in Protection of Personal Data (Privacy) to ensure that personal data are securely kept and used only for the purposes for which they have been collected.

Types of Personal Data Held and Purposes of Collection
WACC collects and keeps personal data, which fall within the two types and for the purposes listed below:

(1) Personal Data for Service Provision and Related Activities collected from service recipients during service registration, service delivery, and other related programmes and activities will be used by WACC for the purposes of [i] processing service registration, [ii] providing services, [iii] delivering programmes and workshops, [iv] collecting feedback, and [v] system maintenance and improvement of our service user database[s]; [vi] generation of statistics and preparation of reports in an anonymous manner for service evaluation, planning, and other administrative purposes.

(2) Personal Data of Visitors and Outsiders who made enquiries to WACC collected from individuals who provided personal data when visiting and making enquiries to WACC.
