To provide valuable workplace experience to students with SEN, enhancing career development and facilitating future employment opportunities, the Career Planning and Development Centre (CPDC) has organized the CUHK Summer Internship Programme for Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) this year. The programme is now open for application. Programme details are as follows:
Job duties
As a student intern, you may be tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Assisting in student activities, research, and event management;
- Providing daily office administration support; and/or
- Performing other tasks as assigned.
Key arrangements
- The internship will be arranged on a full-time basis during July and August, lasting either 4 or 8 weeks. Two period options are available:
- Period A (4 weeks): 2 July 2025 (Wed) to 29 July 2025 (Tue)
- Period B (8 weeks): 2 July 2025 (Wed) to 26 August 2025 (Tue)
- Student Interns are expected to report duty during University’s Usual Operating Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:45 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm
- Friday: 8:45 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:45 pm
- The application result will be announced in mid-June.
Allowance
Allowance for each student intern will be at an hourly rate of HK$70. The final allowance amount will be calculated based on actual attendance records. Record and payment of allowance will be dealt with through the Student Helper System. Student interns are required to submit attendance records to the host D/Us for confirmation on the actual number of work hours.
