Senior uShine Programme
In order to strengthen cohesion among uShine graduates and uShine trainees, the Wellness and Counselling Centre of the Office of Student Affairs established the Senior uShine Programme in January 2025. Through further training in understanding the needs of students with SEN, which aims at providing support to them and raising the awareness of SEN in CUHK. Senior uShiners will be well equipped and empowered to play a significant role in promoting a supportive learning environment on campus.

Eligibility
- Full-time undergraduate students of CUHK
- Graduates of uShine SEN Service Team
- Non-final year students who would be in CUHK in 2026 are preferred
- Supportive, helpful, and eager to promote an inclusive learning environment at CUHK
Roles and Responsibilities
- Mentoring of uShine trainees, offering peer support and facilitating group cohesiveness
- Facilitating the Adventure Training Camp as peer group leaders
- Assisting in organizing uShine orientation/ gatherings
- Supporting and supervising service projects of junior uShiners

Training and Activities
- Group Facilitation Skills Training (3 hours)
- Adventure Training Camp (3-days-2-nights overnight camp)

Qualifications
Upon completion of all trainings and service projects, Senior uShiners will obtain the following qualifications:
- CUHK Senior uShine Certificate
- Eligible for the election of ‘Best Service Project of the Year’ and ‘Best uShiners of the Year’
- The qualification will be recorded in the Student Development Portfolio (SDP)
- Senior uShiners who demonstrate outstanding performance and contributions will be nominated to join a 5-day, 4-night Overseas Barrier-Free Discovery Tour in May/June 2027, with 90% of the tour expenses subsidized by the University.
